Meet South Carolina Injury Attorney Zachary Hayden
Zachary Hayden has been with McGowan, Hood, Felder & Phillips, LLC since January 2024. Before coming to MHFP, Zachary spent 5 years defending medical malpractice and nursing home negligence cases with a South Carolina defense law firm. Additionally, he spent his first year out of law school as a Staff Attorney for the South Carolina Supreme Court.
Few attorneys have the unique experience Zachary Hayden offers in medical malpractice litigation. Having spent years defending hospitals, physicians, and nursing homes, he possesses a rare, behind-the-scenes understanding of defense strategies, insurance tactics, and expert witness approaches. This background gives him an unparalleled advantage when fighting for plaintiffs who have suffered due to medical negligence. His ability to anticipate defense arguments and dismantle them strategically makes him a formidable advocate in the courtroom.
Additionally, Zachary’s experience as a pharmacy technician during his high school and undergraduate years provides him with an intricate knowledge of pharmaceuticals, medication errors, and prescription-related malpractice. This unique skill set allows him to approach pharmaceutical and medical negligence cases with a level of insight that few attorneys can match.
Outside the office, Zachary enjoys cooking, playing guitar, and golfing. A lifelong Virginia Tech Hokies and Washington Commanders fan (through thick and thin), he takes pride in cheering on his teams. Most importantly, he values time spent with his wife, two sons, and their beloved dogs.
