Shawn served our country’s military before attending Clemson University. He then attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served as an Associate Student Works Editor for the South Carolina Law Review and consistently received academic awards such as being named to the Order of Wig and Robe and The Order of the Coif – the latter being a national honorary society for law school graduates who finish in the top 10 percent of their class.
Prior to joining McGowan, Hood, Felder & Phillips, LLC, Shawn served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable H. Bruce Williams at the South Carolina Court of Appeals. He entered private practice as an attorney with Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, where he focused primarily on the defense of complex product liability cases for various corporate manufacturers.
