About our client’s case
Doe met Williams in 2018, when Doe was 14 years old and a high school student at James Island Charter School. Williams – who was a medical student at Medical University of South Carolina at the time – was Doe’s tutor. Doe and Williams attended a movie together, and after the movie, Williams took Doe “to an unknown location in West Ashley, where he touched the boy’s genitals, according to an arrest warrant affidavit. Williams also allegedly masturbated during the encounter.”
Between 2017 and 2018, Williams worked as a substitute teacher “at various elementary, middle and high schools throughout Charleston and Berkeley counties,” according to the Post and Courier. He was also a youth group leader and mentor at the R.O.C. Church (The Revelation of Christ Church) in North Charleston. After graduating MUSC in 2018, Williams entered his pediatrics residency at St. Louis’ Children’s Hospital. He has since been placed on administrative leave.
